Frequently Asked Questions
Is Legal Funding a Loan?
Legal funding is not a loan. There is no obligation to pay back the funding if you do not win a settlement or win your case at trial. Legal funding is paid back only from settlement funds or from money you receive after a trial.
Is My Credit Checked?
Do I Need to Be Employed?
We do not check your credit score in determining your eligibility for legal funding. We do not report anything to credit reporting agencies regarding your legal funding, as the legal funding is not a loan, and you are not personally responsible for paying back the funding.
You do not need to be employed to receive legal funding. If you are employed, we will not contact your employer. Eligibility is determined by the strength of your case. So long as you have a viable legal case, we will consider your application.
Is There Any Cost to Apply?
There is no cost to apply for legal funding. We do not charge any out of pocket fees. If your case is funded, the legal funding will need to be paid back, with the total amount depending on the amount of time it takes for us to get repaid. However, all payments to us will come from your settlement check; you will never have to repay us yourself.
How Long Until I Get Paid?
The application process typically takes less than 24 hours. We will need to contact your attorney in order to process your application. We only need a few minutes of your attorney's time. After we speak to your attorney, we can get you a check within 24 to 48 hours.
What Kind of Cases Do You Fund?
We fund any kind of personal injury case. That includes motor vehicle accident cases, slip and fall cases, medical malpractice, and worker's compensation cases. We do not fund worker's compensation cases in all states. Give us a call and we will let you know if we fund cases in your state.
